What is PRF? PRF is Platelet Rich Fibrin and the new and improved version of platelet-rich plasma (PRP). PRF contains youthful and healing properties and used to stimulate collagen and elastin growth. Your blood is collected, PRF is created, and can then be applied topically with microneedling, or injected throughout the face and body for a natural rejuvenation of skin and wrinkles, or injected into the scalp to assist with hair rejuvenation . PRF is right for you if your looking for a natural way to enhance your appearance. You will look younger with tighter skin, increased elasticity, a healthy glow, and a natural looking, youthful end result. What Does PRF Feel Like? Topical anesthesia is applied to the face prior to injection to keep the treatment comfortable. PRF is made from 100% your blood and that's it, so it does not burn or sting as it is being injected under the skin. You may feel a little tenderness and/or see some redness at the injection sites, but this will resolve on its own. The most common areas to treat include the under eyes, crow's feet, nasolabial folds, cheeks, marionette lines, smoker lines, chin, jawline and lips. A full-face rejuvenation will address all of the most common treatment areas. What To Expect The procedure is generally pain-free. Your face or scalp is cleaned, a topical anesthesia is applied, and then PRF is strategically injected into face or scalp or applied topically with microneedling. Each session varies from 60-90 minutes from start to finish. The cost for a full-face rejuvenation or hair restoration using PRF varies from $2500- $6000. Several factors determine the cost including the number of sessions and amount of product needed to achieve your desired results. The best results require multiple sessions of PRF with 4 weeks between each session and maintenance treatments performed at 6 months or 1 year, depending on your individual results. How Long Do Results Last? A more youthful and natural appearance with tighter and glowing skin or thicker scalp hair is noticed typically after 3-4 treatments. Every patient is unique. Final results are seen many months after your last treatment as collagen growth is enhanced and sustained and last 2-4 years. The longevity of your results depends on the quality of skin, tissue laxity and surrounding bone loss.
