What is Hyperhidrosis? Hyperhidrosis is excessive sweating that is often noticed in the underarms and hands. Botox, Dysport, and Xeomin are all part of a class of injectable treatments called neurotoxins designed to reduce wrinkles and fine lines on the face and neck and work by relaxing these muscles. Neurotoxins can also be injected into the underarms and hands to significantly reduce excessive sweating, but still allow the sweat glands to function. Who is a Good Candidate? If you are between the ages of 18 and 65 and in good health, a neurotoxin can be an effective treatment option for excessive sweating. What to Expect During Treatment During your consultation, we will discuss your own unique desires and create a custom treatment plan. Pricing varies per treatment. Average cost is $600. Your $50 deposit will be deducted from the total treatment cost. The treatment itself involves a series of injections in the desired treatment area and typically takes 20 minutes or less. You will then wait a few minutes after your treatment to watch for any reactions to the treatment before resuming your daily activities. How Soon Will I See Results? Most patients see a reduction in sweating within 3-5 days of treatment, with full results 2-3 weeks after treatment. Hyperhidrosis treatments should be repeated every 3-4 months to maintain results.
